It looks pretty decent on chrome but its not at all appealing to the eyes

It looks halfway decent on the ipad but the fonts aren’t appealing to the eyes and they are annoying to click cause there are so many so close together.

: Not Mobile supportive yet again it looks like crap on my android and everything looks amazing on my android usually

This website, http://voicesfromthefront.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=featured&Itemid=101, is an okay website. For the most part, it is well organized and easy to read. The only flaw with the website is that it a little crowed in parts. But other than that, it is well laid out.

I tested my website on many different browsers, and what I found was the Firefox and Google Chrome showed it the best. When tested on an Android, my website was very delayed. Also, Internet Explorer made it so that the captioning on my pictures was off. Over all, my website shows up pretty well.

I created a rather awful designed website in order to break the self-established web design rules that we created on Wednesday. My site broke the following rules:

Simplicity – It is not very simply designed, as there is too much distraction and flashing colors.
Don’t be flashy – This is somewhat similar to the first rule broken, as it is very flashing and has many colors.
Don’t use too many GIF’s – The background of the site itself is a gif!
Be easy to navigate – There are a couple useless pages.
It is also too large for mobiles devices due to massive font.

Here is a site that breaks every rule of design. The colors make it hard to see text and look ugly. There are lots of different fonts that don’t work together. Did You Know? that the top 10 in-demand jobs today did not exist 10 years ago? And yet, education is relatively unchanged. Kids still sit in rows of desks memorizing material for standardized tests that they take as isolated individuals. That is not the reality of the outside world, however, and as Sir Ken Robinson points out, we need to Change our Paradigms about education.

Over the course of this week we will be introducing you to a framework for web programming and, more importantly, challenging you to 1) learn how to learn and 2) learn to love learning. Globally, major initiatives have been launched addressing the need of constant learning post-formal education and the micro-certification of skill sets. The Mozilla Foundation (those that brought you Firefox) have recently launched the OpenBadges project and companies both big and small are getting behind their or similar efforts to promote tech workforce skill development. For all the talk of a lack of jobs in this country, the truth of the matter is that there are two tech jobs for every single unemployed person. In short, we do not have a jobs problem — we have an education one.
